Makeup advice?

okay, so I'm attending my godfather's wedding soon this week coming up. I was fine to get my hair, makeup etc done professionally until my car needed some repairs leaving me very close to broke. So Now I need some of your advice for doing my own makeup. I rarely do apply makeup except for foundation, but I need it to stop making some parts of my skin dry. I have a combo of oily/dry, acne %26amp; sensitive skin so I need tips that are not too harsh. The dress looks like this: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=54nm6w2.... I want something that's not complicating to do and looks very natural. Anything or piece of advice would be appreciated. I dont wanna buy stuff, but I'm sure my mom or even friends might have some things to share? Any ideas on what I should do?

Okay, And I have dark chocolate brown hair, brown eyes and skin tone is maybe fair-medium %26amp; it tends to get red easily.

Get some nice bright foundation from mac or clinique. They have very good things.

Next start with some light pink blush or if you dont want to look too off then go with something like your skin colour. Next start with some nice mascara. Black is a good colour. And add some eye shadow. Remember since your just starting go with something more like you skin soo that it still shows but like a sparkly and skin tone way. And last but not least wear a nice pink or red sparkly lip gloss to finish off the wonderful look. Hope it helps!

I would go to a make-up counter at the mall. Some of them do makeovers for free. Explain your situation and promise to buy some make-up when you get paid.

Or if you have a good friend and you think her make-up always looks good then ask for help.

As for your hair, add some curls here and there, maybe pull the sides back with small clips.

okay that is a very cute bathing suit. i think i might get it too :) im fifteen(almost 16) too and i gained some weight over the school year from boarding school (now im 120ish) so im really self concious and im dreading summer because i have to stop eating or just be fat tummy and this totally hides tummy but is still super cute and i wont feel at all old lady!!!! thank you soooo much.

Looks cute! But you sound in shape enough to try a two piece. Not necessarily a bikini, but maybe a tankini or something.

Try Target, they have cute ones, and they're not too expensive.

If you're not wearing a bikini because you're self concious of your thighs, just wear a bikini top and a pair of board shorts.

My suggestion to you is buy the summer issues of cosmo. they have great ideas for a multitude of different bodytypes. So at your tiny size you could get away with a bikini. Just find a suit that flatters your assets!!

It all depends on your bust. You are tiny so you may be thin busted too. Sometimes bathers that accentuate shape are better. How about briefs with a little tanky. So the belly button seperation makes your boobs look bigger.

That is my idea. Assuming you have small breasts.

I think it's adorable and totally IN right now. Lots of girls are going for this, "cut-out," one piece style this year. The open sides will make you look taller, curvier and elongate the body. I say, "go for it!"

I am looking into a possible cartilage piercing?

I got my first ear lobe hole when I was almost twelve (day before my Birthday) at Piercing Pagoda. I had no problem with infection until I accidentally got a yarn necklace caught on one of the earrings and a piece of yarn broke off into the hole. My second hole was done at Wal-Mart over a year ago, and it went very well, except that I got my hair done after when I should have done the hair before the ears.

I've been thinking about getting a cartilage piercing, and I know that my parents will probably make me do Wal-Mart, if they give me permission to get it done. Any advice on that? Should I just not do it at all? I've heard that cartilage piercings tend to take longer to heal and there is a greater risk of things going wrong with it, but I still might get it done.

Having said that, let me add that it the best piece I've read from you yet, I am not disappointed. I am a black dress, silver accessories kinda girl. I have a "cool" complexion so black and silver just "go." Every piece of jewelry I own is silver. My dress shoes are black. So this year I decided to mix things up a bit. I bought this ankle length chocolate velvet dress. It has long sleeves, an empire waist, and a low-cut square neckline. It's cool because the velvet is slit on each side up to the thigh to expose this gorgeous shimmery chocolate satin underneath. So my question is: What do I wear with it? I don't mind wearing gold, but I don't usually so I'm afraid I'll pick something gaudy. Shoes? Necklace? Earrings? If this helps I have very long brownish red hair that will be worn up. Should I skip jewelry and find a gold hair accessory? ARGH! Maybe brown wasn't such a good idea........

If you have brownish red hair - I think Brown is going to look great on you. Especially with the velvet- the shimmer will look really good.

Ok lets see: It's ankle length, and all one color ... so you have the option of spicing it up with the shoe. I suggest getting something that has a peep toe ( not something that is toooo strappy, and nothing too boxy or closed toe..... Perhaps some great brown peep toe pumps, or gold heels w/ a few straps...

Since your hair is goin to be worn up I think a hair accessory would look great!

Long sleeves dont really require bracelets but a BIG, eyecatching ring would look gorgeous.... try to get a mani too if you can ;)

Necklace and small earrings or larger / longer earrings and no necklace... i wouldn't do hoop earrings i would some maybe some chandelier type earrings.

Go for gold, with chocalte brown, it looks fabulous. Silver will get lost on the dark colur. But go for smaller pieces of jewelry ranther big chunky stuff, except for the earrings.

Gold is your best bet... you could also wear red. If the dress as a jewel in the center.. skip wearing a necklace. Go simple with earrings... diamond studs maybe ,and gold strappy sandals. Go with the gold hair accessory.
