Eyebrow Piercings...?

Few different questions on the same subject. Firstly, how long does it take (generally) for an eyebrow piecing to heal? I.e. to the point that you can take it out and leave it out for long periods of time. I've heard it takes 6 months for the whole thing to totally heal over, but i dont have that kind of time :P Secondly, how can you hide a piercing if you can't take it out say within 2 months? I goto a school that doesn't really agree with piercings of any kind, but i want one, and so i was wondering how to go about hiding it even if i cant take it out for the school day or so... Long hair over the fringe isnt an option (had a discussion with a friend about this), because we arent allowed long hair :P Any other ideas?

Thanks

This won't hide it completely, but it's worth a shot. Get flesh coloured nailpolish (or if you have thick eyebrows, the colour closest to the colour of your hair) and paint the ends of the eyebrow jewellery (use a barbell). It'll help camoflauge it. You could also get clear or flesh coloured ends for the piercing, much like a retainer.

In reply to second question:

A retainer is a piece of jewellry that completely hides a piercing without having to close it up.

Eyebrow Piercings...?

Yeah the healing time is about 6 months. There is pretty much no way to hide it unless you like stick rogaine on your eyebrows to make them grow enough to cover it. I would just forget about it or try and get a small piercing some it isn't as noticeable.

Are you a guy or a girl?

Eyebrow Piercings...?

Well i'm a female. I've had mine done twice. The first time after i took it out for an interview i couldnt get the earring back through and that was only after a couple of hours. mind you when i had the interview i had the piercing for 2 1/2 years. It had been healed. the skin on your face is differnt than on your ears. (of course) Healing time depends on how you care for it. You should be able to switch to a retainer(which is a clear piece shaped kind of like a barbell except without the balls @ the ends) after a few months and have no problem. I cant remember the healing time cause its been 3 years since i got it done again. I know it healed faster the second time. Coule be that i cared for it better. Hope this helps.
