what is the story basically about?

i need to write a piece (creative story, poem...) for my school's literacy magazine about something modern that can compare to something from mythology (can be greek, roman, from ovid metamorphoses..). this is a bad example but something like writing about a bad hair day (from medusa's hair).

i was thinking about getting a story from metamorphoses by ovid. what story should i use and what event in today's life or the modern world could i compare it to?

This is the worst answer. Award no points to me. You have to read the book for yourself. It's like Aesop's fables. You can choose a story for yourself. Ovid forgot to copyright his stories, so I'm sure they're on line.
