Help! I have selfesteem problems because of my face.?

For years I have been embarassed because of how hallow my cheeks are. I look sick because of it. People have called me skellitor, boney, and other such words refering to me as a drug user because of my face. Its horrible having to hide it all the time behind my hair. On top of this, whenever I know I am going to get a picture done, I stuff my cheeks with pieces of plastic just to look normal in them. I have been dealing with this for 16 years. I was very young when I noticed something about me was very different then the other girls. Is there a such thing as a rubber filler I can keep in my mouth to make me normal? I cannot get surgery because I cannot afford it. aspecially with kids at home. Please help. people say, learn to love it, But after so many years of hating myself for it, I dont think that I ever can. How can I fix this esteem crashing problem? PLEASE HELP!!! thank you :)

Well if ya have kids, then someone thinks your cute, so obviously it is mostly mental. Almost everyone has things theyd change about themself, while other people think they look fine how they are. My opinion is stay the way you are, don't change yourself because you think others don't like it. Once you love yourself, you won't care what others think.

worry about your children not how you look......everyone has something they feel self consious about....you cant look to bad if your having children and getting banged

I'm sure they have something like that. But I think that you should try and accept it. There are so many worse things that you can have wrong with you, concentrate on your good traits.

Bless your heart. At least you have hair. I'm an old gal now, and I was six years old when I realized there was 'something' about me that made people treat me differently. I never, never have my picture taken, and sometimes I can't stand the look on other peoples' faces when they have to look at me. I'd be a hermit, if I could, believe me. I'm happiest when I'm all alone. What can we do? I have a very high IQ, and my work ethic is something I'm very proud of. Nothing ever made any difference. Just hang in there. God made us this way for a reason, and I can tell, you're doing just fine with yourself. And remember, when you turn 40, you can say anything about anything, and it's okay. Because you're 40! Smile.
