Name of Late 80's/Early 90's Three-Piece group????

Hello,

I'm trying to find out the name of a three-piece group from the early 90's or late 80's that appeared frequently on MTV. They played really cheesy pop music although they looked like a hair metal glam band. One of the guys played guitar, although I doubt he was really playing it. They all had long hair and wore leather jackets/pants, etc.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? They used to play their video on Dial MTV.....the pre-TRL days.

I can't think of very many bands that would be considered "cheesy" but the only 3-piece bands I can think of from around that time are ZZ Top and Rush...definitely not cheesy, and they definitely play their instruments, although bands rarely really play their instruments for videos
