I dont understand his reasoning?

I had a small cut glass bowl, with a lid that I kept on the back of the toilet. It held little things, like hair pins and clips.. (Very small bathroom, not much other place to keep this bowl)

Husband lifted the toilet lid to see why toilet wouldn't quit running. For some reason, he did not take my pretty little bowl off the toilet lid, first. Bowl slid off, into side of tub, and broke into several pieces.

Husband threw the bowl away because it was broken. Promised me a new bowl. But, he kept the lid, because that was "still perfectly good." It doesn't fit any other dish that I own, but it's still good.

Do you think he is thinking he can buy me a new glass bowl that this lid will fit on top?

I dont understand his reasoning?

throw the lid away. It will drive you crazy. As soon as he's gone, toss it.

He's easing his conscience. He only broke HALF. The top is still fine.

I dont understand his reasoning?

i think you have way to much time on your hands ... wow....

I dont understand his reasoning?

Although it makes no sense at all, because even if the lid "fit" the new bowl, it won't look right......YEP!, that's probably what he's thinking....

Would it be such a stretch for the man to think of buying the new glass bowl with lid, as one???

I dont understand his reasoning?

He's not an 'all or nothing' thinker
